Manmade Apocalypse is a digital EP released by A.D.I.M.A.H. in 2016. The release of the album coincides with the band restricting themselves to an online presence.

Album Meaning Edit

The title of the album lampoons the aftermath of the election of Donald Trump. According to Trina Riffin, the title represents how Americans are committing acts that are just as bad, if not worse than what they believed Trump would do to the country. Each song is based on key events that took place in the previous months during the election.

A music video was made for Don't Use Your Head, and it features Quay Manuel, a 16 year old boy and Trump supporter who was the subject of Flip.

Song Meanings Edit

Disown centers around a viral video where a mother disowns her son after he voted for Donald Trump in a mock election.

Flip is done as a duet between Trina and Chelsea. It parodies an argument had between Quay Manuel and a Black Lives Matter supporter regarding Donald Trump.

Don't Use Your Head is based on the attacks endured by people who simply support Trump, as well as those who break off friendships and other relationships over an opinion they don't like.

A Leather Bag With Legs is a diss track centered on Hillary Clinton, and how she'd potentially ruin America worse that people'd believe Trump would.

Manmade Apocalypse is based on the ongoing riots since the end of the election, and how the rioters are destroying America when ironically, they thought Trump would be the one who'd do so.

If you buy the album on BandCamp, a bonus track is present (American Physco). It was an early track that was recorded in 2003, and it could only be heard after sitting through a minute of silence at the end of the last track. The iTunes version merged them both and the one minute gap is filled with a spoken word portion.

Reception Edit

The EP received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike. The fans deemed this release to be a big departure from their established sound and weren't ready for a change (noting the metalcore elements) while critics felt that the album had an air of bias that was apparent throughout the recording. It has gained a following amongst conservatives however.
