Against the End is the debut single for the second generation of Evidence. It was originally part of the band's first EP, but a remastered version with additional instrumentation was included in Toxic Shores.

Meaning Edit

The song was based on the paranoia surrounding Y2K.

Music Videos Edit

There were two videos. One was produced in late 1999, and another was produced in 2003.

Video 1 Edit

The original video featured the band performing in an attic, littered with junk and broken mirrors. The band was displeased with the original video.

Video 2 Edit

The next video featured the band performing in a cave, near a body of water. Darryl Costanzo appears as a giant holographic head and sings the lyrics.
